Beth Sieloff M.P.H.

Beth Sieloff currently serves as a specialist in the Cancer Prevention and Control Program for the Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan (ITCM) in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The ITCM serves as a forum for the 12 federally recognized tribes in the state of Michigan, and it provides administrative oversight for the National Native Network. The ITCM is a dedicated advocate for reducing chronic disease and cancer disparities. Our programs support culturally appropriate education, training, policy and capacity building to support health equity among Michigan tribal communities. Beth has been a health care professional and leader of national programs for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security and the National Science Foundation. As a 27-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Beth is nationally known, and she uses her expertise to highlight and eliminate policy and systems barriers that influence Native American and rural-population cancer disparities. Beth promotes community-based participatory approaches in public health programs to ensure collaborative and equitable partnerships are in place to improve care and support across the cancer continuum for rural and Native American populations. Beth earned a bachelor of Science and Health Administration degree from Spring Arbor University and a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Health Education from Grand Valley State University. She is also a graduate of the Key Executive Leadership Program at American University in Washington, D.C. Beth currently oversees multiple programs successfully addressing cancer screening disparities, and she stays active in her local community in Northwest Lower Michigan by leading yoga classes for older adults and for children with special needs.
