Chetan Sehgal CA-IFA, CAMS, CFF, CFI, CPA

Chetan Sehgal is an advisory partner at BDO Canada LLP. He is an investigative

and forensic accountant who specializes in advising companies

on prevention, detection and response to financial crime.

Sehgal’s experience in financial forensics spans across all major industries,

many local and international jurisdictions, and types of fraud

schemes. He works closely with law enforcement, legal counsel,

boards of directors and corporate senior executives in handling matters

involving fraud. Sehgal has been qualified as an expert and has

provided expert testimony in court and on various tribunals. He is a

chartered professional accountant with specialty designations in the

subject matter of financial crime, including certified in financial forensics

(CFF), certified forensics investigator (CFI) and certified antimoney

laundering specialist (CAMS). Sehgal is also an active board

member of the Association of Certified Fraud Investigators of Canada

(ACFI). He regularly speaks on fraud and financial crimes at seminars

and conferences, and he provides thought leadership to his clients.

Sehgal earned a master of accounting degree and a bachelor of arts

degree in accounting from the University of Waterloo.
