Becky J. Drews
Becky J. Drews is vice president and senior consultant with United Actuarial Services, Inc. (UAS) as well as a shareholder with the firm. UAS has been providing consulting and actuarial services to multiemployer benefit funds since 1951. UAS is one of the few actuarial firms that focuses entirely on Taft-Hartley fringe benefit plans. Drews has been providing consulting services to multiemployer fringe benefit funds since joining the firm in 1995. She is the health care practice leader, assisting in managing UAS’s health care department services. She currently serves as lead benefits consultant on nine multiemployer health care funds as well as co-consultant on one multiemployer pension fund. Drews’s areas of health care expertise include plan design strategies, compliance, mergers, financial modeling, vendor network analysis and renewals, and annual rate projections. In addition to her health care experience, she also has significant experience with multiemployer defined contribution (“annuity”) plans. Since 1999, she has participated in the Annual IFEBP Conference as an attendee and exhibitor. In the November 2019 edition of Benefits Magazine, she co-authored the article “Multiemployer Health Plan Targets.” In 2021, she moderated sessions at the Denver Annual Conference, and then again at the 2022 Las Vegas Annual Conference. In January 2023, she was a moderator/co-presenter at the Institute for Apprenticeship, Training and Education Program in Puerto Rico on cybersecurity issues in the US. Shortly thereafter, she was a co-presenter at the Advanced Trustees and Administrators Institute.
