Andrew B. Lowy

Andrew B. Lowy is an associate in the employment and employee
benefits group at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. Lowy focuses his practice
on representing multiemployer pension plans either as counsel to the
board of trustees or as counsel to the employer trustees of the plan.
He advises multiemployer plans before and on issues relating to the
Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, the United States Department
of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service. Lowy has experience litigating,
arbitrating and advising on issues concerning withdrawal liability,
mass withdrawal liability, prohibited transactions, delinquent
contributions and fiduciary duties. He also has supported clients lobbying
Congress with respect to providing financial support to multiemployer
pension plans. Lowy is admitted to the bar in New York and
has Court Admissions in the United States District Courts in the Eastern
and Southern Districts of New York. Prior to joining Schulte Roth &
Zabel, Lowy received his J.D. degree from William & Mary School of
Law and his B.A. degree from Skidmore College.
