Uniting Forces: Employer-Community Partnership Fostering Employee Mental and Behavioral Health and Well-Being
Free to International Foundation and ISCEBS members
COVID-19 worsened the mental health crisis in the U.S. and exposed the ongoing critical shortage of behavioral health workers available to support employee well-being. To address this, employers and community partners collaborated to create an award-winning train-the-trainer certification program for human resources professionals.
This session will explain how:
• Employers and community partners collaborated to design, develop and deliver an innovative awareness and prevention solution for the workplace
• Program participants learned to create the psychological safety needed to break the silence and change workplace culture relating to employee mental and behavioral health, substance misuse, addiction and recovery
• Ongoing collaboration between program participants and community allies can foster the employee and corporate well-being needed to sustain healthy organizations.
